Tameka Battle is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and master teacher of college and career readiness at Callaway High School in Jackson, Mississippi. She is the electives department chair and serves on the school leadership team. Previously, Tameka taught middle school science and was an adjunct professor in the professional office management program at the community college level. Tameka was selected to serve on the Jackson Public Schools Teacher Advisory Committee (2023–2025), recognized as an Outstanding Educator by Ask for More Jackson (2024), and honored as Teacher of the Month (January 2024). She also serves as the academic coordinator for the Jackson State University Navigator Upward Bound Program. Tameka earned an AA in general studies from Hinds Community College, a BA in psychology from Belhaven University, a MAT from Jackson State University, and is pursuing an EdS in K–12 educational administration from Jackson State University.
