Rebecca Baxendell

Rebecca Baxendell is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Equity Leadership Institute member and a secondary life skills support teacher in Cornell School District in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, currently teaching students in grades 5-12. In 2012, she was hired by the Cornell School District to teach in its Elementary Life Skills Support classroom, and has since transferred to her secondary role in the high school. Rebecca also teaches a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) club for students in grades 2-6 in Cornell Elementary School’s after-school P.R.I.D.E. program. She is a member of Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) and National Education Association (NEA). Rebecca currently holds a BA in education with certifications in Elementary Education K-6, Early Childhood Education PK-3, and Special Education K-12 and a masters degree in special education with a concentration in autism, both from Slippery Rock University.
