Dawn Bilbrey is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus New Mexico Alumni Policy Fellow. Dawn is the high school English teacher for grades 8-12 at San Jon High School in San Jon, New Mexico. Dawn helps support her district by participating on the Multi-Layered System of Supports/DASH committee. In her career, Dawn has served in a variety of leadership roles from being the district-wide Student Assistant Team coordinator, serving on the school leadership team, and working as the Dean of School Culture. Dawn was named Tucumcari High School Teacher of the Year, was a National Institute for School Leadership Fellow, and was a New Mexico Teacher of the Year finalist. She earned her BA in secondary education and an MEd in curriculum and instruction from Eastern New Mexico University.
