Matthew Blake is a 2026-27 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow. He is a 5th grade teacher at Crested Butte Community School in Crested Butte, Colorado. He focuses on teaching 5th grade students the core curriculum content standards while fostering a love and excitement for learning. Matt Blake started his teaching career in outdoor education and leadership. Then after receiving a M.Ed. began his career in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He earned his BA in Outdoor Leadership and Instruction at Western State College of Colorado, and he went on to earn a M.Ed. degree at Antioch Graduate school in Keene, NH.
