Shana Bolden is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Mississippi Policy Fellow and is the chemistry and AP biology instructor for West Bolivar Consolidated Schools. Shana’s focus is working with kids in poverty. She has served on the MS Teacher Advisory Council since 2021 and is currently pursuing her National Board Certification in biological sciences. Shana served on the leadership team for West Bolivar High School for two years. She has been nominated for a presidential award for excellence in mathematics and science teaching for the 2022-2023 school year. She earned degrees in biology and chemistry from Delta State University and an MEd in Curriculum & instruction from the University of Southern Mississippi.
