Amber Bradley is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Amber teaches ethnic studies and U.S. government at River City High School in West Sacramento, California. Amber is the teacher leader of the community schools initiative in her district. She has previously served as the instructional technology leader for River City High School. Amber was honored with the Outstanding Dissertation award for her research “Liberation through Abolition: An Analysis of the Reallocation of Police Funds in Three California Public School Districts.” Amber previously served on the executive board for the West Sacramento Teachers Association and has been both the elections committee chair and the community schools chair in recent years. Amber earned her BA in political science from the State University of New York at Purchase, her MA in government and her social science and health teaching credentials from California State University, and her EdD in Educational Leadership from California State University Sacramento (2022).
