Brenna Horan

Brenna Horan is a special education resource teacher for students in grades K-4  at Extera Public Schools in Boyle Heights in Los Angeles.  She has developed a parent volunteer literacy program for her school and has served as department leader.  Brenna began her teaching career while at Tulane University, as a volunteer tutor and after-school teacher at a local elementary school.  After earning her BA in Latin American Studies and Spanish from , she worked as a TFA corps member in Los Angeles, teaching Spanish to middle and high school students at ICEF Lou Dantzler, Crenshaw High School and Bright Star Secondary Charter Academy.  Brenna earned her master’s degree in urban education, with a focus in policy and administration from
