Briana Schwabenbauer is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and a 4th grade teacher in a co-taught classroom at Longfellow Elementary School in Oak Park. She currently serves on the PBIS committee collecting and analyzing data on student behavior in school. She previously worked for the National Education Association as an organizational specialist and served on the Wisconsin Education Association Council State Board for two years. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a BS in Elementary Education and an ESL certification and also worked on a research team to study literacy in early childhood development with immigrant students.
