Tia Brickey is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow. Tia is a library media specialist and family and community involvement coordinator at Park Avenue Elementary in Stuttgart, Arkansas. She continually seeks to empower her students to become lifelong readers and technology and information savvy and to build a maker mindset. She has facilitated the Library Media Science Project Collaboration Team for two years. Tia was named the Stuttgart School District Teacher of the Year and was a semi-finalist for Arkansas State Teacher of the Year. She is National Board Certified. She earned a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and an MA in library media and information technology from the University of Central Arkansas.
