Brittany Marano is a Teach Plus Maryland Teaching Policy Fellow. She teaches 3rd grade at Hampden Elementary/Middle School, where she is also the science representative for the building. Brittany is an integral member of Hampden’s instructional leadership team and gifted and advanced learners program. She previously served as the Baltimore Teachers Union representative for Hampden. She was named Teacher of the Year at Hampden for the 2014-2015 school year and was featured in Baltimore City’s Public Schools video series “Great Teaching and Great Learning.” Brittany graduated from Loyola University with a BS in Elementary Education and is currently pursuing an MEd in Reading Instruction from Goucher College.
