Maya Brodkey is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow and grades 11-12 humanities teacher at Coliseum College Prep Academy in Oakland, California. Previously, she served as grade-level lead and mentor teacher, and developed and piloted a civic engagement curriculum that was adopted district-wide. Maya was a Fund for Teachers Fellow (2023) and Fulbright Teacher for Global Classrooms (2023-2024). She currently serves on the Fund for Teachers Educator Advisory Council and is a National Education Association Global Learning Fellow. Maya earned a BA from The Evergreen State College, and MA and teaching credential from Mills College.
