Jennifer Browning is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and a fifth grade teacher leader at Irving Elementary in Oak Park, Illinois. She focuses on teaching children about empathy and diversity to promote inclusion and equity in the classroom. Jennifer has served on the district’s education council and runs the after-school mentor and homework program: SLAM (Students Learning and Achieving through Mentoring). She earned her BA in communications and Spanish from Western Michigan University, and an MEd in elementary education from DePaul University.
