Randi Burchfield is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow and a 9th and 10th grade Honors English and Critical Reading 1 and 2 teacher at Hamburg High School in Hamburg, Arkansas. She regularly emphasizes the importance of reading comprehension acquisition while encouraging cross-curriculum support for all students in order to foster student confidence and perseverance in their future areas of study. She is a new teacher mentor. Randi was named the 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year for Hamburg High School and subsequently the 2022-2023 Hamburg School District Teacher of the Year. She earned an MA in teaching from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and is currently pursuing an MA in English.
