Bradley Burns is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Massachusetts Policy Fellow and an 8th grade civics teacher at Hanscom Middle School, located on Hanscom Air Force Base and part of Lincoln Public Schools. His primary focus is on working with other teachers to create classrooms that work to break down the school to prison pipeline while building strong, genuine, and meaningful relationships with students. He previously taught in Acushnet Public Schools and at Boston Preparatory Charter Public School. Brad has also served with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as an Ed Prep reviewer, and later as a civics curriculum reviewer. Presently, Brad is a member of the New Member Committee in the Massachusetts Teachers Association. He earned his BA in History and East Asian Studies along with his MA in Teaching at Brandeis University in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
