Julia Burrola is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus New Mexico Alumni Policy Fellow. Julia is a 4th and 5th grade teacher at Albuquerque Collegiate Charter School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She focuses on building a strong foundation in math and science as well as creating a confidence in her students to problem solve and persevere. She served as a member of the Secretary’s Teacher Advisory and a school ambassador. Julia is one of the first teachers in New Mexico to have an endorsement as an elementary math and science specialist. She earned her BSEd in elementary education from The University of New Mexico and an MA in education from New Mexico State University.
