Cheri Butler is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Texas Early Childhood Educator Group Facilitator. She is an Early Childhood Special Education for children ages 3-5 (ECSE-3) Teacher at Frank Guzick Elementary in Dallas Independent School District in Dallas. Supporting students with diverse learning needs for more than a decade and recognized as an Exemplary Teacher by the Texas Education Agency, Cheri holds a Proficient III-Distinguished Teacher designation and is the Teacher of the Year at her campus (2025). She has been a special education inclusion teacher, reading interventionist, and 2nd grade teacher, with expertise in supporting students with disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, and speech delays. Cheri earned a bachelor’s in business administration from American Intercontinental University and master’s in special education from Southern Methodist University.
