Phylicia Hollis Butler is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow and is an elementary school music teacher at Ridge Road Elementary in North Little Rock. She is a member of the Ridge Road Guiding Coalition and Equity Team. She has served as a 5th-grade summer learning loss educator and music teacher for all ages, including adult education and the Job Corps. Phylicia was named the 2022 Ridge Road Elementary Teacher of the Year. Phylicia is a National Association for Music Educators member and was appointed chair of elementary music education for the Arkansas Music Educators Association in 2021. She earned her BA in Music from The University of Memphis and an MEd from Freed-Hardeman University. She is working on her EdS in Educational Leadership and Principalship from Arkansas State University.
