Tamara Butler is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and a middle school administrator with Rockford Public Schools in Rockford, Illinois. She focuses on the areas of Special Education, SEL and bilingual support. She has previously been a school social worker and held leadership positions at the state and national level in professional organizations. Tamara was a recipient of the 40 under 40 award. She was former president of the Illinois Association of School Social Workers. Tamara earned a BS from Millikin University, an MS of social work with a concentration in schools from the University Of Illinois, and an MEd in educational leadership from Northern Illinois University.
