Treci Butler is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow and a 9th and 10th grade social studies teacher at Upper Merion Area High School in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Treci served on the Culturally Responsive Teaching Committee in the Lower Merion School District and was awarded the William B. Kuhns Excellence in Education Award from his alma mater, Cabrini University. He was the inaugural chair of the Youth Committee in the West Chester NAACP branch and is active in the Pennsylvania State Education Association’s oversight committee and serves as a union rep in his local chapter. He earned his BA in History/Secondary Education from Cabrini University where he graduated Honors with Distinction and is currently in a MA of History graduate program at West Chester University.
