Breana Calloway is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow who teaches 3rd Grade math and science at Deneen School of Excellence in Chicago. She serves as PLC Coordinator, MTSS Lead, and New Teacher Mentor on her campus. Breana is an alumna of the Aspire Fellowship and a current Black Teacher Project Fellow. Breana began her teaching career as a City Year Corps member in 2015. Shortly after, she became a resident teacher at The Chicago Academy through the AUSL Residency Program. She earned a BA in sociology from Illinois State University and an MEd in elementary education from National Louis University.
