Camden Flores is a 2018-19 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Camden teaches kindergarten at Kempton Street Literacy Academy, a dual immersion school in Spring Valley, California. She serves on her district’s essential standards, site council, and English Language Development committees. Camden was one of San Diego County’s Teachers of the Year for 2018, was named San Diego County Volunteer of the Month for her work with foster youth, and was recently selected as San Diego’s Scottish Rite Teacher of the Year for her dedication to helping students growing up in poverty. Camden graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Liberal Studies and a certificate in Applied Linguistics and earned her MS in education from National University.
