Karen Y. Cameron-Ross is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Illinois Chicago Change Agent and middle school science teacher at Langford Academy in Chicago. She is the Chicago Teachers Union delegate for her school and one of two Local School Council teacher representatives. Karen was a liaison with her principals in two schools and currently is Lead Science Cohort Teacher Leader. She is an adjunct professor in math at Calumet College and Indiana University Northwest. Karen is a member of the Indiana University Northwest Alumni Association. She has an AS in public affairs and sociology from Indiana University Northwest, AAS in nursing from Prairie State College, BS in criminal justice Indiana University Northwest, and BA in elementary and middle school education from Calumet College.
