Damaris Cami is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Chicago Change Agent. She is the instructional coach and multi-tiered system of supports lead at Talcott Fine Arts Elementary School. She is also the liaison for Tutor Corps and an instructional leadership team member. She has been an educator in Chicago Public Schools for 13 years, spending the last 8 years as a dual language elementary school teacher. During those years she has mentored student teachers and has been a study group leader with the Working in the Schools Organization. She is an awardee of the school leadership pipeline program and a member of the Cohort 22 for the EdD Urban Education Leader Program at the University of Illinois Chicago. Damaris graduated from North Park University with her BA in elementary education K-9 and her MA in Christian formation. She also has an endorsement in ESL and bilingual education from North Eastern Illinois University.
