Candice Washington is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow and a Kindergarten transition Specialist at the Carole Robertson Center for Learning in Chicago. Candice also founded a nonprofit organization called Brown Books and Paintbrushes that strives to educate young children and families about Black culture through art, literacy and cultural programming. Candice has been an ECE teacher for over a decade and is completing her degree at National Louis University.
