Lara Carey is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Texas RISD Change Agent, 3rd and 4th grade ESSER co-teacher supporting ELA, and equity liaison for Moss Haven Elementary in Dallas, Texas. She focuses on working with campus leadership and staff to further equity on a school-wide level to help all students feel included and important. She previously taught kindergarten, 1st, 5th, and 6th grade. She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Texas Austin, and an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a triple literacy focus from the University of Texas Arlington.
