Albertina Carillo is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Aspire Teacher Advisory Cabinet Member. Albertina is a 3rd grade teacher at Aspire Titan Academy School in Huntington Park, California. She previously served Compton USD for 23 years as a K-8 classroom teacher, project facilitator, curriculum specialist, and leadership team member. Albertina is a mentor teacher through Alder University, an induction coach for preliminary credentialed teachers, a Pro Black Program Coordinator for Titan Academy, and an LA Region ELA Lead Team member. She graduated with her BA in liberal arts from Cal State Dominguez Hills and her MA in school administration. Albertina holds a clear multiple-subject credential and a preliminary administrative credential. She is seeking a doctorate in organizational leadership from City University of Seattle.
