Tyler Chance is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and a 10th grade English language arts teacher at Benton Consolidated High School in Benton, Illinois. He works every day to support his students in their pursuit of being their best selves personally, socially, and academically. Tyler began his secondary education career as a Teach for America corps member in St. Louis and has since been a TFA St. Louis Aspiring School Leader fellow and a TFA Rural School Leadership Academy fellow. Tyler holds a PhD in political science, an MA in secondary education, an MA in political science from the University of Missouri, as well as an MA in Bible and theology from Lincoln Christian University. He also holds a BA in political science from Southern Illinois University where he is currently pursuing an MS in education administration.
