Amy Chankin is a 2024-2025 Harmony School Leader Advisory Cabinet Member. She supports Harmony Public Schools in Central Texas with academics, testing, curriculum, special populations, discipline, safety, and school counselors. Dr. Chankin has more than two decades of educational experience in the public, private, and charter school sectors, having been a teacher, curriculum coach, assistant principal, principal resident, and principal. She is currently the assistant area superintendent of programs. She is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and attended the School Turnaround for Leaders course at Harvard University. Dr. Chankin earned her bachelor’s degree in K-12 education from California State Long Beach, her multiple subject teaching certification from San Jose State University, a master’s in educational leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington, and her doctorate in educational leadership from Capella University.
