Jason Charles is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent and grades 9-12 English teacher at Temecula Valley High School in Riverside County, California. He is English Language Development (ELD) Coordinator/Department Head at a site that’s renovating its program; he also works as a Restorative Practices Coach. Jason is a member of the Curriculum Design and Education Technology teams, and is part of site leadership. Previously, he was Gifted & Talented Program Coordinator and National Writing Project Coach. Jason is the Temecula Valley Crystal Apple Award winner (2022-2023) and recipient of his school’s first annual Student-Choice Award (2024-2025). He was a training specialist for Google’s Gooru, before returning to the classroom, where he teaches Advanced Placement Capstone and ELD. Jason has a BA in English, BA in biblical studies, and MAT, all from Azusa Pacific University where he completed an exchange program with Oxford University. He also has an administrative certificate.
