Dr. Olivia Chavez-Hart serves on the 2026–2027 Teach Plus California Alumni Advisory Board and Teach Plus California Policy Fellowship, Senior Policy Fellowship, and Emergent Bilingual Change Agent Network alumna. Olivia is a Deaf and Hard of Hearing itinerant teacher and induction coach in the San Bernardino City Unified School District in San Bernardino, California, serving students from birth through age 22. She is a passionate advocate for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, committed to ensuring every child has access to language, opportunity, and the tools to thrive. Olivia also serves as a National Education Association Representative Assembly Delegate and California Teachers Association representative. She earned a BA in communicative disorders from California State University, Los Angeles; Deaf and Hard of Hearing teaching credential; MS in Deaf education from California Lutheran University; and administrative credential and EdD in educational leadership from California State University, San Bernardino.
