Sarah Christesen is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Colorado Senior Policy Fellow. She is Multi-Tiered System of Supports Coordinator and an interventionist for grades 6-8 at Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette, Colorado. Sarah specializes in data-driven differentiation, implementing best practices, and supporting students and teaching teams with all aspects of Response to Intervention. She facilitates individualized math and behavioral interventions. Sarah has taught in various K-8 special education roles, from full inclusion to Intensive Support Needs, in North Carolina, Germany, and Colorado. While teaching at the Munich International School, Sarah was the Responsive Classroom Coordinator for the Junior School. She holds a bachelor’s in psychology and sociology and master’s in special education, both at the College of William and Mary School.
