Christopher Green is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Texas Senior Policy Fellow. Christopher teaches 7th grade English language arts and reading at Rhodes Middle School in San Antonio. As a Master Teacher, he coaches his teaching peers, facilitates campus professional development, and is a member of the campus leadership team. Before the 2017-2018 school year, he spent three years, including two as a 2014 Teach For America corps member, teaching 7th and 4th grade ELAR at New Frontiers Charter School where he also coached the boys’ basketball and football teams to district championships. He is a founding member of SA RISE (Rising in Solidarity for Equity) a community organizing group focusing on issues of educational equity. SA RISE collaborated with San Antonio ISD district leadership and community groups to compose a police and community handbook that protects all students and families in the district. He earned a BA in Mass Communication from Texas State University.
