Emily Cohen is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Colorado Charter Policy Fellow, and 5th grade teacher leader and new teacher mentor at Rocky Mountain Prep Ruby Hill in Denver. She teaches literacy, closing foundational reading gaps and focusing on transferable skills needed to interpret and think critically about texts. Emily was the Multi-Lingual Education lead for three years, coaching teachers on English Language Development curriculum. She was named PEAK Teacher of the Year (2024-2025 and 2025-2026) because of her students’ academic growth and performance. Emily earned her BA in political science and leadership studies from the University of Richmond.
