Cara Craig is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow. Cara is a home visitor in Evanston, Illinois. She is currently participating in a Home Visitor Workforce Focus Group. In her previous position, she was a mentor teacher and created professional development experiences for fellow teachers. Cara was chosen as teacher of the month at her previous school six times and nominated for a national teaching award by school. Cara was PTO president at her own children’s school for five years and a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She earned her BA in visual arts education and anthropology from Ball State University, and is working on her MA in early childhood education policy from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
