Melissa Cunningham is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent and 9th–12th grade multiple subject newcomer teacher leader at International Academy at Pacific High School in San Bernardino, California. She teaches English, English Language Development (ELD), and U.S. history, while serving as an English language facilitator and technology coach. Melissa previously worked as an elementary dual immersion teacher and teacher on special assignment. She holds a Bilingual, Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development certification. Melissa earned a BA in Spanish from the University of Northern Colorado and MA in educational leadership from National Louis University.
