Sebastian Cuyjet is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Michigan Senior Policy Fellow, Advanced Placement (AP) African American studies teacher, and instructional coach at Jalen Rose Leadership Academy in Detroit. He provides professional development to early-career teachers, transforms classrooms into liberatory spaces, and organizes school events with community organizations. Sebastian is the founder and chairperson of the nonprofit Friends & Family Community Fund, providing resources and training for adults pursuing entrepreneurship or new careers. He earned a BA in English from Bowdoin College and a teaching credential from the University of Michigan.
