S. Dallas Johnston is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus Nevada Senior Policy Fellow and 20-year veteran teacher who teaches at Mission High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together with her students and peers she reads, writes, and discusses literature, composition and creative writing while continuing to develop her own craft. Dallas is a fellow of the Southern Nevada Writing Project, a former U.S. Dept. of Education Teaching Ambassador Fellow, and a InspirED Global Fellow, who has worked at the state and national levels to enhance and help shape education policy. Dallas holds a BS in English Education from UNLV and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Regis University, Denver.
