Danica Park is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Indiana Teaching Policy Fellow. Danica teaches reading at Maplewood Elementary in Indianapolis, where she co-facilitates the Love of Reading book club and is a member of the Wayne Township Classroom Teachers Association. She works in collaboration with an English as a New Language teacher to design and co-teach a language arts-focused “specials” class. Previously, Danica taught at Paramount School of Excellence where she held the role of team leader for her grade level as well as co-chair of the School Community Organization. She won the “You Make A Difference” award at Maplewood for outstanding service and instruction. Danica is an AmeriCorps alumna. She graduated with a BS in Apparel Merchandising and an AS in Costume Construction from Indiana University, Bloomington and received a TTT certification from Indiana Wesleyan University.
