Emily DeJaegher is a 2023-2024 Michigan Teacher Leadership Collaborative Member and a 4th grade teacher leader and student teacher mentor at Voyager Elementary in Howell, Michigan. She is passionate about teaching children in the areas of literacy, SEL, special needs and supporting future teachers currently enrolled in a university program. She has participated in ELA curriculum research and adoption with HPS, Cognitive Coaching, Neuroscience and START training, as well as school improvement and PBIS committees. Prior to working as a teacher, she was part of the administrative team at the Howell Carnegie District Library (Circulation Supervisor) providing book delivery and outreach services to local classrooms and early childhood education centers (PreK-5). She earned a BA in elementary education from Michigan State University and an MLIS in library and information sciences from Wayne State University.
