Emily DeLano is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Texas Houston Policy Fellow and elementary math intervention teacher at Sparks Elementary in Pasadena, Texas. She coaches new teachers at her school and conducts elementary mathematics research for Rice University. Emily previously taught in Michigan elementary and higher education settings at Oakland University. Named Top Teacher Advocate in Michigan (2007), she holds teaching, administrator, and counseling licenses. Emily earned a BA in business and education from Siena Heights University and a MEd in counseling from San Angelo University.
