Dana DeVaughn is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and Director of Pupil Personnel Services at Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, Illinois. She oversees school counselors, social workers, psychologists, nurses, and registrars. Dana facilitates Multi-Tiered System of Supports meetings, ensuring members work cohesively in the areas of academics, college and career, and social-emotional well-being. Prior to this role, she was Director of Counseling and Equity Coach at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park. Dana earned an Educator Award from the Attachment and Trauma Network (2020). She is on the Executive Board for the Directors of Counseling and Student Services of Suburban Chicago and is co-founder of the Black Educators Network of Suburban Chicago. Dana earned a BS in psychology from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, MEd in school counseling from Loyola University Chicago, and MA in educational leadership from North Central College.
