Shannon Dietz

Shannon Dietz is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow and high school math teacher at Ephrata High School in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. She focuses on incorporating engaging teaching strategies and leads the Foundations of Education course for aspiring teachers. Shannon participated in her district’s Instructional Leadership Coalition, which implemented strategies to enhance student engagement and belonging. Previously, she taught at Lancaster Catholic High School. Shannon has been recognized as Ursinus College’s Future Teacher of the Year (2014) and received the “Be the ‘E’” award (2024). She is a member of Pennsylvania’s National Association of Multicultural Education and presented her dissertation research at a program that helps prepare future teachers. Shannon earned a bachelor’s in mathematics and teaching certificate from Ursinus College, a master’s in secondary mathematics education from Millersville University, and a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Drexel University.
