Disnarda Funes and her fellow resource teachers are developing meaningful interventions and supports for students struggling in their math classrooms. Disnarda is a resource specialist teacher at Synergy Charter Academy (K-5), where she currently works with Kindergarten, 2nd and 5th grade special education students in a co-teaching collaborative model in the general education setting. Disnarda is a lead resource teacher, providing mentoring support for incoming and new resource teachers for Synergy Academies. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a BA in Liberal Studies and obtained her teaching credential from California State University, Los Angeles.
