Frank Donner is a 2022-2023 Michigan Collaborative Teacher Leader and a middle school language arts teacher at Mark Twain School for Scholars in Detroit, Michigan. He uses critical literacy and place-based pedagogy to empower students while serving his colleagues as a Detroit Federation of Teachers Building Representative. Throughout his career, Frank has been a founding teacher at two elementary schools, helped create an independent project-based charter school, and was principal of a K-8 school in Southwest Detroit. He served as a delegate from the Detroit Federation of Teachers to the 2022 AFT National Convention. Frank began his teaching career in Detroit as a 2002 Teach for America corps member and has taught various grades between K-8. He earned his BA in Classical Greek from Creighton University, an MA in Elementary Education from Wayne State University, and holds a Professional Teaching Certificate and School Administrator Certificate from the state of Michigan.
