Dr. Gwendolyn Delgado is a 2021 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent and the EL Coordinator at Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita. Gwendolyn teaches history and the school’s ELD support class for the EL student population on campus and is developing the new Ethnic Studies curriculum for her school district. She is also developing a Parent Bridge Program for EL families in her community that is designed to help EL families connect with their student’s school. Gwendolyn is a Teach Plus Policy Fellowship alumna, co-developed the ILAP program, and has held Professional Development workshops at CABE to promote the ILAP as a powerful research to support Long Term English Language Learners. Gwendolyn earned an EdD in Education Organizational Change and Leadership through the University of Southern California, an MA in Multicultural Education at Fresno State, and a BA in History and Central American Studies through CSUN.
