Amanda Dunn is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Arkansas Policy Fellow and a high school theater and oral communications teacher at The Academies of West Memphis in West Memphis. She focuses on teaching children the importance of self-advocacy in order to recognize and communicate their needs to others. Amanda has served as a dyslexia interventionist/coordinator for grades 7-12 and an English tutor for Alternative Learning Environment (ALE) students in grades 7-12. Amanda served on the West Memphis School District Personnel Policy Committee (2023-2024), is a former member of the Arkansas Communication & Theater Arts Association (ACTAA), and is a member of the Arkansas State Teacher Association (ASTA.) She earned her AA from Arkansas Northeastern College, a BSE in speech communication and theater arts from Arkansas State University, and an MA in communication studies and theater also from Arkansas State University.
