Gregory Durant is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and a 3rd through 5th grade math interventionist at Sunnyside Intermediate School in Berkeley, Illinois. He was a member of a team of teacher leaders who developed a multi-tiered system of supports framework for the 2023-2024 school year. Greg co-developed the math intervention program with the district administration and is the sick bank chair for the Berkeley Education Association. Greg began his teaching career as a third and fourth grade teacher before transitioning to math intervention. He earned his BS in geology and his MEd in education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
