Ashleigh Edney

Ashleigh Edney is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Teacher-Led Community Connections Network Member. She teaches 3rd and 4th grade English language arts and social studies in the Responsive Acceleration Pathways program for gifted learners at the Math/Science/Technology Magnet Elementary in Richardson, Texas. Ashleigh focuses on accelerating and enhancing learning for highly gifted learners through technology integration and standards-based instruction to deepen understanding and foster academic growth. She has served as a grade-level lead, head of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) committee, and led a team as part of Richardson Independent School District’s (ISD) Leadership Fellowship (2023–24). Ashleigh was named her school’s Teacher of the Year (2024–25) and is part of Richardson ISD’s Super Team for Quarter 2 (2024–25). Ashleigh began teaching in Richardson at Richland Elementary and has taught 3rd and 4th grade in Title I schools. She earned her BS in interdisciplinary studies from Texas A&M University.
