Ana Elias-Morales is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent. Ana is a 9th-12th grade English teacher, English learner coordinator, and a member of the instructional leadership team at Edison High School located in Fresno, California. She focuses on teaching emerging bilingual students to build literacy skills in both their home language and English for the purpose of developing a strong bilingual identity and to better advocate for their education. She has served as a grade-level lead teacher and an English learner coordinator, Edison High Instructional Leadership Team Member, Assessment Council, FUSD Peer Mentor Facilitator, teacher leader, and San Joaquin Valley Writing Project. She earned her BA in communications and a minor in creative writing from California State University, Monterey Bay, as well as a credential in English and an MA in education from University of California, Davis.
