Ellen Clayton is the algebra II teacher at Freedom Preparatory Academy, a charter school serving the 38109 zip code in Memphis, TN. She previously taught math at Frayser High School and Ridgeway High School. She spent the last summer learning from the Education Advisor to the Mayor of Kansas City, Sly James. Ellen is excited for the opportunity to apply what she learned from a variety of settings to push for transformational, educational changes in this city. She loves that this fellowship gives her an outlet for her passion for policy while staying in the classroom. Ellen received her BA in political science from DePauw University.
